Energy plays a critical role in development. In 2007 it was decided to increase Norwegian support for clean energy. The overall goal of this initiative is to enable poverty reduction and economic growth and contribute to less polluting scenarios.
Norad conducting an open competition with a view to concluding a framework agreement with up to four suppliers to meet demand for consultancy services related to the clean energy development cooperation. Alongside technical advice to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Norad, the framework agreement could also deal with technical assistance and capacity building to institutions in the partner countries.
The thematic areas and advisory tasks to be to be contracted under the agreement is outlined further in the tender document.
