Klimahouse Startup Award

Klimahouse, leading fair for innovation in the green building industry, is organising the second edition of Klimahouse Innovation Days: a four-day programme with dedicated encounters for startups that operate in the industry. It will run alongside Klimahouse 2018, from 24 to 27 January, at the Fiera di Bolzano.

During this event, the “Klimahouse Startup Award” will be hosted, identifying the best startup or innovative company in the industry on a European level.

From amongst the startups that put themselves forwards, a selection committee will choose 10 award finalists. They will be given the occasion to exhibit at Klimahouse Innovation Days, encountering the key companies in the industry.

The aim of the competition and the Innovation Days is to help all new entrepreneurial organisations, that contribute to innovation within the industry, to quickly make contact with industrial partners who are able to support them in the market.

The 2018 Klimahouse Innovation Days will therefore have “Nature of building, nature of living” as its topic. It will focus on technologies dedicated to smart building, smart living and smart cities that centre their work around nature in accordance with the following concept:

Building according to nature means living according to nature. Combining ecology and technology to make all buildings – homes, offices, production sites and common spaces – compatible with an ecosystem concept that puts mankind at the centre. The Klimahouse Innovation Days select, promote and encourage innovation that makes man feel part of something to which he belongs: within the walls of an intelligent and connected home, and outside the home in the smart cities of tomorrow. A new urban living that reconciles mankind with nature.

The overall prize award consists of services totalling 20,000 Euros in value. More specifically:

FINALISTS’ PRIZE:
- Personalised desk at the Klimahouse Innovation Days during Klimahouse 2018. Exhibition of products and informative and promotional material. Meetings with potential investors and industrial partners


WINNER’S PRIZE:
- Dressed stand position complete with additional services and hospitality at the 2019 edition of Klimahouse at the Fiera di Bolzano
- Advertising services in the official catalogue and on the website, as well as 150 invitation passes for Klimahouse 2019
- Visibility package on Klimahouse 2019 participation composed of: press release, video interview
- Competency mapping, care of IDM Südtirol Alto Adige
- Participation at Klimahouse Toscana, which will take place in Florence from 13 to 15 April 2018, with a dressed stand.
