New Conservatory of Music / Akademii Muzycznej

The third prize was awarded for creating a simple, homogeneous, but impressive architectural form, which provides a spatial background for the planned buildings of the Park of Music as well as an intimate character of the architecture adequate for a school. The fan-shaped form of the buildings spanning through the site is completed by planned and existing vegetation, which penetrates the internal courtyards and enriches the building form. This enabled to create a friendly and intimate atmosphere of the sequence of spaces dedicated to particular faculties, favoring student activity and integration. The elevations made of natural materials and designed without excessive architectural effects provide an appropriate, modest environment for the school in a park setting.
