II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The University wishes to award a contract for the supply of architectural services for the design of new build acommodation. The premises will comprise a mix of teaching and office acommodation with catering and other public areas, and will be of 9 000 m² gross internal area. The premises will be located in Sheffield city centre and will be required to be ready for use in 2012.

II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: The contract will be for the full design of the premises. The currently anticipated construction cost (ex-VAT) is 16 500 000 GBP. It is expected that the architects fees will be based on a percentage value of the construction cost.
