Short description: Architectural design services. The City of Edinburgh Council wishes to select a team to prepare a design for a new outdoor performance space in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh. A scoping study has been carried out to consider options for the replacement of the existing Ross Bandstand built in 1934. The study identified several options and established a budget of approximately 14 000 000 GBP for construction works. The proposed performance space will be relatively small but its unique world-class location in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle will require quite exception design skills. A design competition is considered to be the most effective method for selecting the design team for this prominent site. |

The short-listed applicants invited to take part in the competition will be selected on the basis of a questionnaire issued to all applicants responding to this public notice.
