    Vormsund secondary modern school was built in the middle of the sixties and the municipality is now in progress of discussing what shall happen with the school. As a part of several alternatives in the ongoing discussion, the municipality have decided that a project shall be presented which shows a new school facility for 12 school classes with option for extending the school with 15 school classes of which a new sports hall with swimming pool and joint wardrobes are included. The new building shall be situated at the municipality’s property in Vormsund in the slope towards Vormnes gård and in/along the slope towards a primary school. This is an invitation to an architectural contest for such facilities. The architectural contest will be evaluated by a municipal appointed jury.

      Additional information: A site inspection (not mandatory) will be held 4.1.2007 (12:00). Meet at Vormsund secondary modern school. As mentioned above, the result of this contest will be one of several alternatives for the extension of the secondary modern school, evaluated by the politicians. At present, a political decision for which alternative will be accepted does not exist. The following alternatives are under consideration: rebuilding/reconstruction of the existing school or the construction of an entire new school. This contest shall therefore not be related to a later extension, if any, but as a design contest, only, without binding right for the architect to carry out a future construction project. The municipality’s requirements documentation including plan for extension will be distributed to interested parties, subsequent to the date for site inspection.
