In the framework of MADE Expo Milano Architettura Design Edilizia, the trade fair event that will take place from 17 to 20 October 2012 at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre, Federlegno Arredo S.r.l. aims to promote a competition which selects projects that tackle the problem of living temporarily while staying in the city. The ideal architectural project should reflect the diverse ways of living in the metropolitan area by developing proposals that keep in mind the environment and the territory, sustainability, needs of wellness and the quality of life. The competition is open to currently enrolled university students and recent graduates of schools of architecture, engineering or industrial design (Italian and foreign) who possess the requirements under this announcement.
The winning projects, and the other projects recognized as worthy of mention, will be put on display at MADE Expo.
The Initiating Authority intends to create a housing model on a real 1:1 scale where the design proposal meets the interest of the builders due to its architectural originality, construction technique and the economic value of the work.
