DEVELOPMENT AND MODERNIZATION OF TRAKAI ROWING BASE OF LITHUANIAN OLYMPIC SPORTS CENTRE

A client – Lithuanian Olympic Sports Centre.

Lithuanian National Rowing Sport Base is located in Trakai, the historical capital of Lithuania, at the side of a medieval castle and that determined a sensitive interaction of the old and modern architecture in the design solutions.

Trakai Rowing Sport Base is one of few bases located on the natural water body. The infrastructure of the rowing sport was designed according to requirements of Rowing Federation. The base is modernized for the World’s Junior Rowing Championship Under23 which will take place in the summer of 2012 and 2013 World Rowing Junior Championship.
