Hillingdon wish to appoint a single contract for the design and installation of a permanent exhibition at the new Battle of Britain Bunker Education and Visitor Centre in Uxbridge. This building is currently under construction on a site adjacent to the underground No 11 (Fighter) Group Operations Room (the ‘Bunker’). The Bunker controlled the fighter aircraft operations that defended London and the South East during the Second World War, most notably during the Battle of Britain in the late Summer of 1940. The Visitor Centre is scheduled to open in early February 2018.
