Tenderers are invited to an open tender contest for the delivery of the following consultancy services for the renovation of a new exhibition in Båthallen at the Norwegian Maritime Museum, which is a department of Stiftelsen Norsk Folkemusuem.
Technical consultants

A separate competition will be announced for the architect and interior architect.
Båthallen was the Norwegian Shipping Museum's first exhibition building in Bygdøynes. It opened in 1958, with traditional boats from the entire coastline and exhibitions on Norwegian shipping in the sailing-ship era. The exhibitions have been upgraded over the years, but sufficient grants have not been available for maintenance and renovation of the building. The hall is not insulated, the floor has settlement damage, there are several places where the facade and roof leak and the technical installations are out-of-date. The hall was closed to the public in 2009 and the exhibition elements and a number of boats and cultural-historical objects were removed.
The project is mainly financed by grants from the Ministry of Culture and the project is dependent on this decision being maintained.
The total estimated engineering design fees are above the national threshold. The competition is being held in accordance with the regulations' part III and the terms in this competition notice.
