    European Parliament has decided to issue this invitation to tender for the design, the production, the installation, the maintenance and the dismantling of the temporary exhibition ‘Restless youth: 70 years of growing up in Europe’ at the House of European History in Brussels.
    Leistungsumfang
    The invitation to tender aims at establishing a works contract for the design, the production, the installation, the maintenance and the dismantling of the temporary exhibition ‘Restless youth: 70 years of growing up in Europe’ at the House of European History in Brussels. Those services/works include:
    1. design of the temporary exhibition;
    2. fit-out of the existing spaces, production, delivery and installation of partition walls, furniture, showcases, display bases and mounting supports for objects including handling and installation of the objects, graphics and scenographic elements;
    3. supply and installation of the lighting equipment, audiovisual and multimedia hardware and all other necessary technical installations, including exhibition control system, bearing in mind the reuse of parts of the existing lighting system (‘Medialon’) and grids fixed to the ceiling;
    4. development and implementation of all the audiovisual and multimedia software;
    5. maintenance of the temporary exhibition in good operating level and consequently minimisation of downtime, including occasional change of objects in showcases;
    6. dismantling, sorting and disposal of the temporary exhibition;
    7. content, image, footage, and music research and acquisition, including necessary rights, for exhibition, online and print use;
    8. placing a palisade.

      III.1)Conditions for participation
      III.1.1)Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers
      List and brief description of conditions:

       

      The tenderer is required to fulfil at least 1 of the following conditions:

      (a) be enrolled in a relevant professional or trade register, except for international organisations;

      (b) (for services) hold a particular authorisation proving that it is authorised to perform the contract in its country of establishment or be a member of a specific professional organisation.

       

      III.1.2)Economic and financial standing
      Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required:

       

      Tenderers should have appropriate professional risk indemnity insurance in place, in particular against risks and damage relating to performance of the contract which is required by the relevant legislation.

      Tenderers must demonstrate a minimum average turnover of 1 000 000 EUR over the last 3 financial years for which accounts have been closed in the area covered by the contract.

       

      III.1.3)Technical and professional ability
      Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required:

       

      At least 8 years of experience in the design of exhibitions of similar nature and complexity as the one described in this tendering procedure.

      Design of at least 4 exhibitions of which:

      — at least 2 of min 500 m2,

      — at least 2 with a total production value of at least 750 000 EUR,

      — at least 3 dealing with museum objects,

      — at least 1 with an innovative use of culture (film, music, fashion, art, television) in the context of a museum narrative,

      — at least 2 must be completed and should have reached at least the level of final acceptance. These projects should not be finished later than 5 years ago.

      At least 8 years of experience in the technical development, the production and the installation of exhibitions of similar nature and complexity of this tendering procedure.

      Production and installation of at least 3 exhibitions completed within the last 8 years:

      — of at least 500 m2 exhibition space,

      — of a value of at least 750 000 EUR,

      — for which project management was done,

      — for which AV software (video, multimedia, interactives) were developed,

      — at least 2 exhibition for which the museum conservation-grade showcases and furniture was produced,

      — for which the integration and installation of the museum equipment (incl. light, AV, multimedia, museum furniture, etc.) was carried out.

      Senior designer:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 10 years of relevant experience,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Project manager:

      — appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 10 years of relevant experience in this field with at least 3 proven exhibition projects of a size and complexity similar to that described in this tendering procedure in the last 8 years,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Interpretive planner:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 5 years of relevant experience,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Audiovisual software/media director:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 10 years of relevant experience in audiovisual and multimedia production incl. scripting, filming, editing,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Graphic art expert:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 5 years of relevant experience in graphic design,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Works coordinator/manager:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — 10 years of relevant experience in this field with at least 3 proven exhibition projects of a size and complexity similar to that described in this tendering procedure in the last 8 years,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Exhibit mounting support expert:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 10 years of relevant experience in development of mounting supports,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Art handler:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 6 years of relevant experience in art handling in the area relevant to the contract,

      — having the capacity to work in English.

      Audiovisual hardware expert:

      — with appropriate qualifications,

      — with at least 10 years of relevant experience in integration of equipment in exhibitions,

      — having the capacity to work in English.
