This tender is to allow the appointment of Fire Consultancy Design Service (through the OJEU Accelerated Restricted procurement procedure) to carry out full Fire Engineering design services for the delivery of the New Emergency Department Block and associated works at University Hospital Galway, using the Standard Conditions of Engagement for Consultancy Services (Technical). Construction works to be procured and contracted using the latest version of the Irish Government Employer Designed Public Works Contract (PW-CF1).

Justification:
The HSE advertised for Individual Design Team Services for 6 Disciplines. An insufficient number of suitably qualified applicants for Lot 5: ‘Professional Design Services for New Emergency Department Block Project at UHG — Fire Consultant’ were received. Therefore, in order to appoint all required disciplines it is necessary for this Lot to be re-advertised and progressed by accelerated procedure in order to move the project forward to the design stage.
