The procurement of Engineering Consultancy Services via. an Open Procedure in relation to the Kerdiffstown Landfill Remediation Project, for the following stages:
Stage (ii) Detailed Design
Stage (iii) Tender Action, Evaluation and Award
Stage (iv) Construction
Stage (v) Handover of Works
Kerdiffstown landfill is a disused quarry and landfill on a 30 hectare site (approx). It is proposed to remediate the site and further develop it as a recreational park with multi use playing pitches. This will involve the movement of waste material to reprofile and cap the existing waste mounds. Leachate and landfill gas management systems will be installed and a site infrastructure compound constructed for the control of these systems and the storage and pumping of leachate. The remediated landfill will be developed into a park with multi use playing pitches, changing rooms, public toilets, playground, walking trails and car parking facilities.
Kildare County Council requires the services of a multi disciplinary consultant with experience in civil and structural engineering design, landfill remediation, leachate management, hydrogeology, environmental, Atex, hydrology, architectural design, sustainable design, mechanical and electrical design, project management, contract administration, cost management, landscape architecture and amenity park design. The Consultant must have relevant experience and knowledge of all issues pertaining to the design and construction of facilities in an environment where landfill gas is present.
The Consultant will be required to undertake the detailed design, preparation and evaluation of tenders and supervision of works in accordance with Kildare County Councils requirements. The consultant will be required to supervise and manage all construction works including commissioning and managing the preparation of handover documentation associated with the project.
The Consultant will be the PSDP and Designer for the project.
