Clare County Council is requesting Tenders for the provision of Building & Quantity Surveying Consultancy Service for Completion of a Condition Survey of Clare County Council's Housing Stock, Schedule of Works and Associated Cost Plan and Capital Expenditure Proposal for a Multi-Annual Planned Maintenance Programme.
In order to plan for this maintenance the Housing Authority requires the undertaking of a comprehensive condition survey of each property. The full survey is to be completed within 6 months of appointment. All units must be surveyed.

In summary, the Services comprise: Request for Tenders for the provision of Building & Quantity Surveying Consultancy Service for Completion of a Condition Survey of Clare County Council's Housing Stock, Schedule of Works and Associated Cost Plan and Capital Expenditure Proposal for a Multi-Annual Planned Maintenance Programme.
Clare County Council is a Housing Authority under the Housing Acts, 1966-2014.
As a Housing Authority the Council provides Housing Services under the provisions of the Housing Legislation. As part of this function the Council have constructed or acquired a substantial housing stock of 2,468 units including traveller accommodation units ranging in age of construction from 1930 to 2012. This represents a significant investment and the Council is anxious to ensure that this housing stock is appropriately maintained to optimise the use and to protect the investment already made.
A summary of the quantity of social housing stock owned and maintained by Clare County Council, by Housing Maintenance Area, is shown in the table below and a map shown the distribution of housing stock across the county is shown in Appendix 1D.

In order to plan for the Multi-Annual Planned Maintenance Programme the Housing Authority requires the undertaking of a comprehensive condition survey of each unit of housing stock.
This survey shall be capable of being completed on a portable ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) device, in a tabular format, compatible with input on and transfer to Microsoft Excel, and the information shall be transferred to Clare County Council on a regular, scheduled basis, for uploading onto the Council's ICT system. The contract must be completed within 6 (six) months of contract signing. On that basis it would be expected that the suc.
