Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and preparation of Tender Documents for Development of Lake Nyasa ports (Mbamb‘ Bay, ltungi, Kiwira, Ndumbi, Manda, Matema, Liuli and Lupingu).Description :
TPA. therefore, intends to engage a competent Consulting firm to undertake a Feasibility study, detailed Engineering designs and preparation of Tender documents for Development of these ports. The consultant shall provide a detailed assessment of technical, economic. financial, commercial, legal, social and environmental viability for development of these ports.The assignment is divided into two phases; (i) Phase One (1): Feasibility Study and Preliminary Design (ii) Phase Two (2): Detailed Engineering Designs and Tender Documents Preparations. At the end of Phase one, there will be a break point and a period during which TPA and other stakeholders will review the results and recommendations from Phase one. A decision will then be taken whether to proceed to Phase two or not and only upon approval by TPA the consultant shall proceed with Phase Two.TPA now invites expressions of interest (EOIS) from eligible and qualihed Consulting firms (Consultants) to indicate their interest in providing the services. interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualihcations and relevant experience to perform the services. The short-listing criteria are: (a) the iirm’s experience in undertaking similar assignments (b) general and specific qualifications and experience of the proposed team of experts and experience of the nrm in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
