Back in the 1930s, babies used to enjoy sunlight and fresh air by spending time in suspended cribs. It was an ingenious solution their parents found, using limited space to expose their kids to enough light and air breeze.

Today, city dwellers are faced with similar limitations, and they are searching for ways to expand and personalize their space.

With this in mind, and Inspired by this 1937 photograph, Sinestezia started the Microwohnen project, proposing to “slide beyond”.

The Expansive Home’ layout maximizes space through longitudinal organization, expands towards the hallway and extends into air on the façade.

Microwohnen thus gains the maximum of openness, bringing the surrounding scenery inside the private realm, and entirely becoming part of the public realm when one wishes so.
