This concept is based on a strong concept of simplicity and elegance. The idiom of both
the station and the towers feels minimalst and modernist, but there is no obvious kinship
between the two. The lighting design is exciting and lends an extra dimension to both towers and stations.

THE TOWERS
The towers are monumental, with a tactile pilaster form. Their architectural expression may lack repeatability and it has no obvious connection to the city of Gothenburg. The vision is one of gracious, treelike sculptures growing out of the city below, but the towers feel slightly awkward and would probably require a more robust construction. The junction of tower and ground is natural and clean.

THE STATIONS
Despite their size, the stations have a somewhat anonymous design and evoke an industrial facility rather than a transport environment. The station structure takes up space
without interacting with its urban environment, but its simple form would probably make it possible to incorporate into future development projects.

The stations are raised, with entrances at ground level that perhaps seem to crouch under the corbelled-out upper story.
The stairs turn 180 degrees, creating long transfer distances between modes of transport, no matter how the transfer points are planned.

The semitransparent shell of frosted glass creates bright interior spaces and illuminates the city around it at night, but is dubious from a safety perspective. It is possible to
make out shadows inside the station, but not to see in or out.

The building uses a small number of robust materials, but the jury would prefer warm materials closest to passengers. The space around the station is enhanced by the addition of public plazas with radially paved areas that reflect the strict geometry of the stations and direct the gaze toward the station entrances. At Järntorget, a new large plaza is created
by the partial demolition of the Folkets hus building. The jury feels, however, that the potential of the new plaza is not fully exploited, as proposed vegetation would screen the
sightline to Järntorget.
