Sarajevo Concert Hall
The proposed concert hall is redefining the public space of Sarajevo's cultural and political centre by prolonging the different parts of the city topographically into the building and around the two stages. From the foyer, this twisting gesture creates multiple views back into the city.
The concert hall is characterized by permeability. Its envelope can be read as a diagram of accessibility negotiating acoustical and structural requirements. Gaps for in- and out coming light are the result. Perceived in motion the ribbons of the envelope create alternating moments of openness and solidity.
