The sculptural form of the building, broken into smaller fragments of varying heights, fits into the frontage layout of the street, referring to the character of the surrounding nineteenth-century tenement houses. The composition of the building manifests the social character of the University, blurring the boundaries through the expressiveness of solids, niches and openings on different floors, while opening up to the surroundings. The main point of the composition is the architectural dominant, a unique body that serves as a spatial sign and emphasizes the unique character of the public building. Glazed arcades open to the outside and green square, and encourage the visitors to observe the everyday life of the university, and in the evenings to participate in cultural events. The heart of the building is the opera and theater hall for 400 people, around which the life of the university is concentrated. The theatre hall is modern and meets the highest standards, comparable with the best opera and theatre halls. Its central location allows for a clear separation of the entrance area and foyer from the back area.
