IDEA PROJEKTU

Prezentowana koncepcja wynika z całościowego, zintegrowanego traktowania zarówno struktury samego budynku i jego otoczenia, jak i przestrzeni całego kampusu. Na obu tych poziomach propozycje projektowe prowadzą do wytworzenia optymalnego środowiska dla życia studenckiego w jego wszystkich wymiarach: edukacji, integracji, aktywizacji, relacji społecznych. Celem jest inspirowanie do pracy, kreatywności, przy zachowaniu zdrowego i zrównoważonego stylu życia. Jednym z kluczowych aspektów jest harmonijne wpisanie nowego budynku w kontekst kampusu uniwersyteckiego (istniejący i planowany) – w sensie urbanistycznym, architektonicznym i programowym.

ZRÓWNOWAŻENIE

W aspekcie budowlanym projekt realizuje założenia szeroko rozumianego zrównoważenia: energooszczędności, optymalizacji kosztów realizacji i eksploatacji, racjonalności kształtowania bryły, planu, systemu konstrukcji, instalacji oraz rozwiązań materiałowych. Dotyczy to również komfortu i dobrostanu użytkowników.

JEDNOLITA STRUKTURA

Podstawą koncepcji projektowej jest całościowe, zintegrowane traktowanie wszystkich poziomów skali: od relacji w skali kampusu, przestrzeni centralnej, przez budynek, do wnętrz. Projektowany budynek wraz z przyległym terenem stanowi centralny, węzłowy punkt kampusu UW. Jest naturalnym centrum życia kampusu.

PRZESTRZEŃ CENTRALNA

W strefie centralnej kampusu dychotomia budynek vs. kontekst została zastąpiona przez perspektywę integrującą, w której budynek i jego kontekst stanowią jedność. W strefie parteru, struktura przestrzenna parteru Budynku i przyległego Forum Studenckiego są oparte na tej samej wspólnej kanwie kompozycyjnej, która jest interpretowana w sposób architektoniczny (w strefie budynku) lub krajobrazowy (w strefie Forum).

BUDYNEK

W koncepcji budynku celem stało się wytworzenie optymalnego środowiska dla życia studenckiego w jego wszystkich wymiarach: edukacji, integracji, aktywizacji, relacji społecznych. Struktura programowo-przestrzenna zbudowana na zasadzie synergii dwóch części: otwartej kompozycji parteru oraz zwróconej do wnętrza górnej części budynku. W sensie metaforycznym ale i w odbiorze mentalnym parter budynku to miasto, góra to dom.

GÓRNE POZIOMY

Górna część budynku ma w planie koncentryczną warstwową strukturę. Warstwę zewnętrzną tworzy pas pomieszczeń „technologii” edukacji - o modularnym, racjonalnym rozplanowaniu oraz oszczędnym, utylitarnym wystroju i wyposażeniu. Warstwa wewnętrzna, to wieniec pomieszczeń o rozluźnionym układzie przestrzennym tworzących bardziej nieformalne środowisko interakcji społecznych i aktywności. Ich wystrój i wyposażenie mają kontrastujący, domowy charakter. Intermedium pomiędzy warstwą zewnętrzną i wewnętrzną wypełnia wewnętrzna ulica komunikacyjna, która rozgałęzia się na zewnątrz w stronę fasady oraz do środka w kierunku atrium, stanowiąc uniwersalne spoiwo pozwalające konfigurować różne kombinacje typów pomieszczeń studenckich i pracowniczych. W centrum budynku znajduje się czterokondygnacyjne atrium, a na dachu - otwarte patio z wewnętrznym ogrodem.

ELASTYCZNOŚĆ

Struktura funkcjonalna budynku służy uzyskaniu maksymalnej elastyczności, wymienności funkcji oraz tworzeniu możliwości wielorakich kombinacji i relacji przestrzeni o odmiennych charakterach - dedykowanych aktualnym specyficznym potrzebom i celom.

PROJECT IDEA

The presented concept results from a comprehensive, integrated approach to both the structure of the building itself and its surroundings, as well as the entire campus space. At both levels, the design proposals lead to the creation of an optimal environment for student life in all its dimensions: education, integration, activation, and social relations. The aim is to inspire work and creativity while maintaining a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. One of the key aspects is the harmonious integration of the new building into the context of the university campus (existing and planned) – in terms of urban planning, architecture and programming.

SUSTAINABILITY

In terms of construction, the project implements the principles of sustainability in the broadest sense: energy efficiency, optimisation of construction and operating costs, rationality in the design of the building, layout, construction system, installations and materials. This also applies to the comfort and well-being of users.

UNIFORM STRUCTURE

The design concept is based on a comprehensive, integrated approach to all levels of scale: from the relationship between the campus, the central space and the building, to the interiors. The designed building and the adjacent area constitute the central hub of the University of Warsaw campus. It is the natural centre of campus life.

CENTRAL SPACE

In the central zone of the campus, the dichotomy of building vs. context has been replaced by an integrating perspective in which the building and its context form a unity. On the ground floor, the spatial structure of the building and the adjacent Student Forum are based on the same common compositional framework, which is interpreted in an architectural (in the building area) or landscape (in the Forum area) manner.

BUILDING

The concept of the building was to create an optimal environment for student life in all its dimensions: education, integration, activation and social relations. The programmatic and spatial structure is based on the synergy of two parts: the open composition of the ground floor and the upper part of the building, which faces inwards. In a metaphorical sense, but also in the mental perception, the ground floor of the building is the city, and the upper part is the home.

UPPER LEVELS

The upper part of the building has a concentric layered structure in its plan. The outer layer consists of a belt of educational ‘technology’ rooms - with a modular, rational layout and economical, utilitarian design and equipment. The inner layer is a ring of rooms with a relaxed spatial layout, creating a more informal environment for social interaction and activity. Their decor and furnishings have a contrasting, homely character. The intermediate layer between the outer and inner layers is filled by an internal communication street, which branches outwards towards the façade and inwards towards the atrium, providing a universal bond that allows for various combinations of student and staff rooms. In the centre of the building there is a four-storey atrium, and on the roof there is an open patio with an internal garden.

FLEXIBILITY

The functional structure of the building serves to achieve maximum flexibility, interchangeability of functions and the creation of possibilities for multiple combinations and relationships between spaces of different characters - dedicated to current specific needs and objectives.

Das vorgestellte Konzept basiert auf einer ganzheitlichen, integrierten Betrachtung sowohl der Struktur des Gebäudes selbst und seiner Umgebung als auch des gesamten Campusgeländes. Auf beiden Ebenen zielen die Entwürfe darauf ab, ein optimales Umfeld für das studentische Leben in all seinen Dimensionen zu schaffen: Bildung, Integration, Aktivierung, soziale Beziehungen.

Ziel ist es, zu Arbeit und Kreativität zu inspirieren und gleichzeitig einen gesunden und nachhaltigen Lebensstil zu fördern. Einer der wichtigsten Aspekte ist die harmonische Einbindung des neuen Gebäudes in den Kontext des Universitätscampus (bestehend und geplant) – in städtebaulicher, architektonischer und programmatischer Hinsicht.

NACHHALTIGKEIT

In baulicher Hinsicht verwirklicht das Projekt die Grundsätze der Nachhaltigkeit im weitesten Sinne: Energieeffizienz, Optimierung der Bau- und Betriebskosten, rationelle Gestaltung des Baukörpers, des Grundrisses, des Konstruktionssystems, der Installationen und der Materialauswahl. Dies gilt auch für den Komfort und das Wohlbefinden der Nutzer.

EINHEITLICHE STRUKTUR

Die Grundlage des Entwurfskonzepts ist eine ganzheitliche, integrierte Betrachtung aller Ebenen: von den Beziehungen auf der Ebene des Campus, des zentralen Raums über das Gebäude bis hin zu den Innenräumen. Das geplante Gebäude bildet zusammen mit dem angrenzenden Gelände den zentralen Knotenpunkt des Campus der Universität Warschau. Es ist das natürliche Zentrum des Campuslebens.

ZENTRALER BEREICH

Im zentralen Bereich des Campus wurde die Dichotomie zwischen Gebäude und Kontext durch eine integrative Perspektive ersetzt, in der das Gebäude und sein Kontext eine Einheit bilden. Im Erdgeschoss basieren die räumliche Struktur des Erdgeschosses des Gebäudes und des angrenzenden Studentenforums auf derselben gemeinsamen Kompositionsgrundlage, die architektonisch (im Bereich des Gebäudes) oder landschaftlich (im Bereich des Forums) interpretiert wird.

GEBÄUDE

Das Ziel des Gebäudekonzepts war es, ein optimales Umfeld für das Studentenleben in all seinen Dimensionen zu schaffen: Bildung, Integration, Aktivierung, soziale Beziehungen. Die programmatische und räumliche Struktur basiert auf der Synergie zweier Teile: der offenen Komposition des Erdgeschosses und dem nach innen gerichteten oberen Teil des Gebäudes. Im metaphorischen Sinne, aber auch in der mentalen Wahrnehmung, ist das Erdgeschoss des Gebäudes die Stadt, der obere Teil das Haus.

OBERE ETAGEN

Der obere Teil des Gebäudes hat einen konzentrischen, geschichteten Grundriss. Die äußere Schicht bildet ein Band von Räumen für die „Technologie” der Bildung – mit einer modularen, rationalen Aufteilung und einer sparsamen, zweckmäßigen Einrichtung und Ausstattung. Die innere Schicht besteht aus einem Kranz von Räumen mit einer lockeren räumlichen Anordnung, die ein eher informelles Umfeld für soziale Interaktionen und Aktivitäten schaffen. Ihre Einrichtung und Ausstattung haben einen kontrastierenden, wohnlichen Charakter. Das Intermedium zwischen der äußeren und der inneren Schicht wird durch eine interne Kommunikationsstraße ausgefüllt, die sich nach außen zur Fassade und nach innen zum Atrium verzweigt und als universelles Bindeglied dient, das verschiedene Kombinationen von Studenten- und Mitarbeiterräumen ermöglicht. Im Zentrum des Gebäudes befindet sich ein vierstöckiges Atrium und auf dem Dach eine offene Terrasse mit einem Innengarten.

FLEXIBILITÄT

Die funktionale Struktur des Gebäudes dient der Erzielung maximaler Flexibilität, der Austauschbarkeit von Funktionen und der Schaffung von Möglichkeiten für vielfältige Kombinationen und Beziehungen zwischen Räumen unterschiedlicher Art – zugeschnitten auf die aktuellen spezifischen Bedürfnisse und Ziele.
