Projektbeschreibung
The Film and Animation Institute was built of more than 600,000 hand-made bricks obtained from Thailand’s last brick-producing village. The blocks are twice the size of normal bricks; owing to their cavities, they transfer less heat into the inside of the building as usual. Unemployed people from the area were trained to carry out the construction works, a fact giving the projects, which consists of many interior courtyards and islands of interaction, an important social connotation.
