A city of the future, a city of new technologies and opportunities, a city of green roofs, wind and sun — Ecopolis is all of this. Sakhalin Island has been chosen for the creation of a comfortable and convenient, environmentally friendly and green city that meets the needs of all people and times, since it is one of the most picturesque places in our country and on the planet. On the shores of Aniva Bay, on high green hills, will lie the city of Chisty. It will have everything for work and leisure, for locals and tourists, for children and adults: a city for life.
The main planning axis of Chisty is the existing valley, with its deep lakes and lush forests, with hills on one side and a plateau on the other. This is the foundation for the new city. All the most significant objects will be located on the highest point of Ecopolis in Kholmy District. This will be the home of the administrative and financial center SakhalinCity, the scientific and educational cluster SakhalinTech, and the main square, the heart of the city.
Residential development with the necessary infrastructure will be concentrated in Plateau District, where each block will have its own unique specialization. The valley will remain untouched by construction. It will connect all parts of the city as a huge park in the very center of Chisty. In aiming at carbon neutrality, we are talking about minimum emissions, about rational use, about recycling, about carbon sinks, about green energy, about safe construction and materials, and about human culture. Here, you will never see skyscrapers and crowds of people in the streets, endless traffic jams or unbearable smog.
Chisty is the sea breeze and the rustle of trees, it is 15 minutes from work to home, it is safety for our children and respect for the elderly, it is education through discovery of the world around us, and it is respect for nature and ourselves. It is a place where anyone would want to live.
