With this technical assistance, the overall aim is to support the WAEMU Commission (C-WAEMU) in implementing the transport facilitation project whilst at the same time building up the C-WAEMU's capacities. 
More specifically the technical assistance will need to: 
support the C-WAEMU in: 
— implementing and monitoring the activities identified under project facilitation: 
• make the juxtaposed border posts at Malanville (Benin/Niger border) operational; 
• strengthen the WAEMU's road information system (RIS) and put it into operation; 
• support the extension of the observatory on irregular practices and its migration to the observatory on regional transport; 
• help build up the WAEMU Commission's capacities as regards infrastructure and transport, 
— capacity building for the C-WAEMU, including the departments involved in regional transport development.
 8.Indicative budget:
5 300 000 EUR.

• accompagner le renforcement des capacités de la commission de l'UEMOA en matière d'infrastructures et de transport, 
— le renforcement des capacités de la C-UEMOA, notamment les services impliqués dans le développement des transports régionaux.
