1. Examples of similar and relevant projects
A.0 Relevant experience
A.1 Please provide information (including client names, dates, a project description and contract value) on three similar or comparable contracts involving repair and conservation of Listed buildings on which you have acted as main contractor within the last 5 years.
1.2 Please describe (using examples where relevant) your capabilities and experience in relation to the following:
Comprehensive roof repair — slater work and lead work by Lead Contractors Association Member at Excellent vetting grade.
Comprehensive masonry repair works.
Specialist sash and case window manufacture.
The management of constricted urban sites.
B.0 Approach and methodology
B.1 Please describe your approach to managing the contract in relation to:
Programming the works and delivering completion on time.
Quality Control on site.
Repair works involving a fully inhabited residential building.
B.2 Please describe you approach to working with the design team in relation to:
Cost control and delivering completion on or within budget.
2. Environmental Management — Contractors to evidence their certification to ISO 140001 and submit their environmental policy detailing how they will deal with site wastage
3. Subcontract Proportion — Contractors to state (percentage) proportion of the works that shall be subcontracted.
The criteria for Marking/Scoring the ESPD (Scotland) is as follows:
Bidders must pass the minimum standards sections of the ESPD (Scotland), Part 111.
Section A of Part IV will be scored on a pass/fail basis.
Section B of Part IV will be scored on a pass/fail basis.
Section C of Part IV of the ESPD (Scotland) will be scored in the following way — Questions 4C.1 — 90 %, 4C.7 — 10 %, 4C.10 — 0 %,
Section D of Part IV will be scored on a pass/fail basis.
Section C of Part IV of the ESPD (Scotland) will be scored in the following way:
— 0 — Unacceptable. Nil or inadequate response. Fails to demonstrate previous experience/ capacity/ capability relevant to this criterion.
— 2 — Poor. Response is partially relevant but generally poor. The response shows some elements of relevance to the criterion but contains insufficient/ limited detail or explanation to demonstrate previous relevant experience/ capacity/ capability.
— 5 — Acceptable. Response is relevant and acceptable. The response demonstrates broad previous experience, knowledge and skills/ capacity/ capability but may lack in some aspects of similarity e.g. previous experience, knowledge or skills may not be of a similar nature.
— 8 — Good. Response is relevant and good. The response is sufficient detailed to demonstrate a good amount of experience, knowledge or skills/ capacity/ capability relevant to providing similar services to similar clients.
— 10 — Excellent. Response is completely relevant and excellent overall. The response is comprehensive, unambiguous and demonstrates thorough experience, knowledge or skills/ capacity/ capability relevant to providing similar services to similar clients.
Careful consideration should be given to the questions and Contractors should formulate and edit their answers to convey to the Tender Panel the Contractor's capacity to undertake the project.
Should the responses be found to be erroneous or in any other way incorrect, we reserve the right to remove the applicant from the selection process.
Please note that no other information will be considered in the ESPD and companies are strongly discouraged from submitting any additional information such as advertising literature and irrelevant company brochures.
