Munchmuseet [the Munch Museum] wants a service provider of conservation services that is available to work on short notice, possibly with large assignment and tight deadlines.
The services will be order in writing with information about the assignment and deadline. Treatment proposals will be discussed with the Munch Museum conservation department and mutually confirmed prior to the work starting.
The conservation department wants to discuss work that takes place and retains the right to change, reverse or cancel treatment:
— condition reports for incoming loans (focus on modern and contemporary art with a selection of materials),
— treatment of incoming loans (particularly pest control),
— the conservation treatment of Munch Museum’s collections (Munch, Stenersen, Amaldus Nielsen, Ludvig Ravensberg collections),
— treatment of items (wood, metal, stone),
— packing of artwork for transport.
