The Invitation to Tender aims at establishing a works contract for the design, the production, the installation, the maintenance and the dismantling of the temporary exhibition with a working title “Fake. An Honest History of Forgery and Falsification”, in line with international museum and conservation standards, at the House of European History in Brussels.
The Invitation to Tender aims at establishing a works contract for the design, the production, the installation, the maintenance and the dismantling of the temporary exhibition with a working title “Fake. An Honest History of Forgery and Falsification”, in line with international museum and conservation standards, at the House of European History in Brussels. Those services / works include:
1. design of the temporary exhibition, in cooperation with the HEH curatorial team;
2. fit-out of the existing spaces, production, delivery and installation of partition walls, furniture, showcases, display bases and mounting supports for objects including handling and installation of the objects, graphics and scenographic elements;
3. supply and installation of the lighting equipment, audiovisual and multimedia hardware and all other necessary technical installations, including exhibition control system, bearing in mind the reuse of parts of the existing lighting system (“Medialon”) and grids fixed to the ceiling;
4. development and implementation of all the audiovisual and multimedia software;
5. directing and production of films and presentations, based on scenarios prepared by HEH team, among which interviews with experts identified by HEH;
6. production of hands-on elements, among which games and quizzes;
7. production of replicas;
8. maintenance of the temporary exhibition in good operating level and consequently minimization of downtime, including occasional change of objects in showcases;
9. dismantling, de-installation of objects, sorting and disposal of the temporary exhibition;
10. content, object, image, footage, and music research and acquisition, including necessary rights, for exhibition, online and print use;
11. placing a palisade during installation and dismantling of the exhibition.

Section IV: Procedure
Tenders will be opened at the European Parliament on 9.10.2018 at 10:00 am CET.

Visit to the premises:
There will be an optional visit to the premises on: 4.9.2018 at 10:00 am CET.
Any economic operator who has been directly sent, by the European Parliament, the documents relating to the Invitation to Tender for this contract, or who has obtained them through other channels, may participate in the visit to the premises.
