This project clarifies and structures the site, completing the figure of the seminary in a clear and elegant way. This concept choice brings out the value of the cathedral, and allows visitors to access it from all sides. Removing some of the pre-existing structures helps to achieve a good balance between landscape and architecture. The main entrance to the site is intuitive and relaxed. It naturally guides the visitor into the museum, while providing a clear way through the site, along the Decumanus Maximus.

The atmosphere and character of the exhibition spaces work in perfect balance to the exterior ones. The scenography, as well as the ground materials, elegantly pay tribute to the palimpsest quality of this UNESCO Heritage site. The organization of the exhibition spaces in a continuous loop, as well as the framing of various elements of the Byrsa hill at each corner of the museum, creates a subtle relationship with the landscape.

The patio takes part in the museography, by serving as a map to the site. The jury expresses concern about the overall lack of shadows during summertime, Overall, the jury questions the scale of the intervention and its potential impact on the ground, as well as the scope of excavations necessary for such a project.

The merit of this proposal is that it offers an elegant and clear project, striving for simplicity while paying careful attention to the nature and specificities of the site. It offers a contemporary homage to the historical structure of the seminary while proposing a classical museum concept.
