Vendsyssel Theatre and Experience Centre

The Theatre- and Experiencecenter positions itself as “a point” diagonally on the theater square. “The point of the square” is a simple concept that in the urban context gives the place an independent identity. The diagonal placement on the site breaks down the appearance of a monumental and hierarchical building. The building is oriented naturally to all directions with equal facades, with no front or back.

The organization of the Theatre Experience-house with the Great Hall as the focal point and the Music Hall at the top creates a series of vertical public spaces - an organized diversity, in the center of the city.
The Theatre Experience building is conceived as a cultural hub, with room for artistic contemplation, professional theater production and spontaneous visists.
