The whole Paxos contemporary art project took place on Paxos, a little island in the the ionic sea that belongs to Greece.
During our location scouting on the island we found that about 400 years old ruin in the little village of Kagatika.
The mesh material is colorized in 120 color shades and each layer is getting bigger as closer you walk to the window from where you can see the wideness of the sea.

The installation "Kagkatikas Secret" was created as part of the Paxos Contemporary Art Project.
The work unfolds in an approximately 400-year-old ruin and forms a unique contrast. It is detached from the usual city bustle and is not in competition with glaring lights or obtrusive advertising. The wind and the sunlight make the installation appear like a digital body in the real world. It forms the interface between analog and digital, between today and then and between old and new.
The great contrast makes the installation look almost unreal, as soon as the wind settles in the layers and the sunlight underlines the colors even more, it seems as if there is only one place for this installation. This, in turn, the contrast fits in and creates exciting synergies.

Atmosphäre und Interaktion stehen im Vordergrund dieser Installation – und beides ist mit wenigen Mitteln umso mehr gelungen. Dass Wind und Sonne durch ihren Materialeinsatz die Glasfasergewebe inszenieren, erweckt die Sehnsucht der Juroren, diese Installation zu erleben. Die weichen Moiré-Effekte, die durch die Windbewegungen entstehen, kontrastieren mit den leuchtenden, geschichteten Farbfeldern und lösen die Grenzen zwischen realer und digitaler Welt auf.
