Zentrum für den Öffentlichen Dienst / Opracowanie koncepcji architektoniczno-urbanistycznej zespołu dwóch budynków użyteczności publicznej (wraz z łącznikiem) Centrum Usług Publicznych (CUP)

The site of CUP is located in post industrial revitalized area close to the train line in pedestrian proximity to the historical center of Opole. For that lot the new Master plan has been prepared and the competition entries have to fulfill its requirements. Our entry presents the idea of economic use of land by consuming fully the allowed parameters of the urban plan and saving the rest of the land for commercial development, means economical use of public money. The precise location of the complex was part of the competition. Our location of the complex -consisting of two separate administration buildings is a long the train line forming a strong startup of future commercial development of the area. The complex forms the main facade of the future triangular green square, the central point of the area. Both entrances are from the square courtyard. The main building is formed around the courtyard allowing the clients to rest in a nice environment when waiting for the city staff. Both ground floors are dedicated ac operation holes und upper floors as office spaces with archives serving the City offices. The architecture is simple and repetitive, using prefabricated concrete as the main component of the facade. Buildings are equipped with modern technical fixtures and respond to required sustainability and environmental issues.
