The iconic roof aims at connecting the various isolated spaces from Place du Luxembourg to the Agora, to the Parc Léopold. In opinion of the jury, the design fails in reconnecting the city centre with the park, while also blocking views to the Parc Léopold.
Visitors are invited to take a lift from the Agora up to a plateau just below the roof structure and to enjoy a round view across the city. In comparison to other entries, the jury highly appreciated this concept as one of the best visitor experience approaches.
In terms of environmental exemplarity, the jury acknowledged the project for its efforts of displayed timber constructions and its advanced concept to re-use much of the existing structure while creating a new building.
