The new frontier of development in the 21st century is not about creating new cities, but about transforming existing ones. Our objective is to create a modern city that can compete for human capital and investment in the global context.
Being created on the foundation of Korsakov, Ecopolis will serve as a model for other Russian cities to create ideal conditions for human life and the transition to a new technological order in harmony with the environment and history of the place.
The master plan is based on the model of a compact city in which existing infrastructure is used as efficiently as possible in the development of the new. The two city centers are connected by a single network of green corridors which form an ecological and bicycle-pedestrian framework for the territory. Sustainable solutions are being developed for the “ecological renovation” of the fabric of the city.
Korsakov and Ecopolis will gain access to Aniva Bay with the organization of a new embankment, and the port area in the old town will be opened. The project pays special attention to the preservation, restoration and stimulation of the development of coastal ecosystems, including the cleaning of the Korsakovka and Bezymyannaya rivers.
