Erläuterungstext
Sequences of axis, reaching from North to South, mark the place. The old train route, soon a green route to the city, the old road, the motorway. The surfaces between these lines, currently empty or with industrial and peripheral uses, are the basis of the new expansion of the city.
We occupy one of these plots, the front the step and the forest.
In addition, we are very close to a movement perpendicular to this dominant geometry, with an axis that cuts across the longitudinal sequence, and leads us towards the mountain. Our project proposes an articulation of volumes in relation to this reading of the place.
On a platform, at the current height of the access on the east volume, which connects the lower western part by ramps, we position a longitudinal volume. Typologically efficient for administrative and teaching purposes, it becomes the south facade of the composition, related to Mount Pilatus and the Forest.
Adjacent to it, a more compact volume picks up the more explicitly musical functions, trying to combine enclosure and controlled opening. Meanwhile, the platform is the collective access plaza. The lower level, opened by its face east towards the garden and the new pedestrian axis collects fun and social functions and public parts of the program.
