Innovatives Bildungs- und Forschungszentrum in Paris-Saclay

On 6 April 2018, Paris-Sud University signed a public-private partnership contract with developer Platon Saclay, led by Bouygues Construction, for the design, construction and operation / maintenance of the future biology, pharmacy and chemistry division, located on the Saclay plateau.
This property is a complex of about 88,000 m², one of the largest university sites in France and a major scientific project for the University Paris-Sud. Delivery is scheduled for April 2022 after 12 months of development and 36 months of realization, costing a total of 283 million euros.
The Biology - Pharmacy - Chemistry division is set up in two strategic locations and Baumschlager Eberle Architekten will design the "IDEEV site" which will cover 14,000 m² (floor area) and will host the Institute of Diversity Ecology and Evolution of Life.
It will host 400 researchers, PhD students and administrative staff. The cluster, which will be hold High Environmental Quality certification, will host advanced research laboratories, teaching spaces (amphitheatres, classrooms and practical work platforms), greenhouses, an insectarium and aquarium as well as social facilities.
