Erläuterungstext
Instead of using sci-tech elements or direct references to scientific images- that will soon become familiar- they can use conventional architectural elements like shape, materials, the size of the components, construction system, lighting, ventilation, acoustics and planning of activities, and assemble them in unexpected ways. In doing so, building dedicated to science can transcend signification and meaning to probe the cognitive and social environment and generate new subjectivities. Such is the case with the Museum and Educational Centre of the Polytechnic Museum and Lomonosov Moscow State University, where we believe that the shape and expression of the building should emerge through a process of negotiation of its internal organization and exterior functions, to generate a combination of unexpected experiences that would make it impossible for its visitors to remain passive.
