The project is dealing with the possibility to transform the former Jamsil Olympic area into an urban link that is solvingthe disconnection between the sport complex and its surrounding quarters. The ajacent building structure does not stop at the areas borders but is smoothly floating into the area while being transformed in height and function.
By rearranging, stacking and covering the old and new functions by a green landscape layer more space for the onsite activities and a clearer position for the renovated main
stadium will be achieved. The former sport complex with a number of disconnected buildings will be transformed intoa unified sport park. The stadium becomes the main focus of the area, surrounded and supported by an easy accessible, hilly landscape. This landscape layer is including a wide range of functions underneath it’s surface and at the
same time is providing an attractive playground for all kind of sports or leisure time activities.

Beurteilung durch das Preisgericht
The project creates distinctive hill land enveloping the major stadiums and facilities except the Main Stadium. It combines architectures, outdoor spaces, green, and water to create the new contour and proposes a cable car connecting the site to the Tuksum Area beyond the Han River.
