Development of an architectural concept of the Atomic Energy Pavilion at VDNH (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy)

The project is a modern interpretation of the peripter, an ancient Greek temple where the central hall is surrounded by the gallery of pillars. It is a sort of a sculpture or a media installation. The ideology is based upon the basic archetypes which are clear to every person. Cathedral – is a space created by people but not for ordinary life but it hides some enigma. The cathedral is surrounded by columns and its inner part is an enigma to the visitors. People are eager to understand the enigma or get closer to it. Thus the sacral meaning of the central part invites inside and think over about the unbeknown artifact.
