Seoul Station Overpass

The third place project proposed proactive design solutions for each of the spaces by intensively analyzing the urban fabric. The strength of the proposal was that a variety of uses were assigned to each of the intricately organized spatial configurations. In particular, the new design method used for the bridge connecting Namdaemun and the Seoul City Wall surroundings was noted for its creativity. However, the proposal failed to secure a unanimous decision among the jury due to the proposal’s excessive transformation of the overpass.
