The World Village of Women Sports

A design that fetches inspiration from the word Village and the stamina of the sporting world. The football pitch forms a large square in the middle of the village and is surrounded by smaller meeting places. The concept is for the town pulse to spread around the quarter at the same time as the sport becomes visible, contributing to the town life. The architects maintain that the vibrant roofed landscape is in harmony with the surrounding buildings. In the northeast corner of the complex the architects plan to raise a tall marker as an icon and a landmark for the WVOWS and Malmö itself.
